Yangon bound bus hits landmine
A bus from Shwe Man Yadana bus line that departed from Sittwe hit a landmine on its way to Yangon on the evening of May 31, the blast caused some damage to the vehicle. There was no report of injuries.

A bus from Shwe Man Yadana bus line that departed from Sittwe hit a landmine on its way to Yangon on the evening of May 31, the blast caused some damage to the vehicle. There was no report of injuries.
The explosion occurred when the bus pulled over to the side of the motorway to let vehicles driving in the opposite direction exit the motorway at Kya Inn Taung village in Myebon Township at about 4pm, said Ko Aung Naing Win, driver of the bus.
“The rear-view mirror was shattered and the bottom of the vehicle was destroyed,” the driver said.
The bus carried 45 passengers and the bus line arranged for another bus to get passengers to their final destination, he added.
