The AA took control of Thandwe Township on September 5. At least 55 civilian casualties have been reported in Thandwe Township due to junta airstrikes since that time, according to a DMG tally.

Residents are worried about the danger of fire as there are roadside petrol stalls located near houses, neighbourhoods, main roads and crowded places.

Hostilities between the military and AA are occuring in Maungdaw, Ann and Gwa townships daily and the AA often clashes with the military in Taungup Township as well, according to the statement.

Daw Ma Hla Thein from Mee Letwa Village said: "There are a lot of mines in the village and on the routes to forests and mountains [on which livelihoods depend]. So, there is no point in returning home when we can't go to forests and mountains. We are also deeply concerned that we might be killed or lose limbs when we return home."

Around 100 junta soldiers entered Lone Village and torched many homes on Monday morning, said a local man.

The activist group Blood Money has launched an online petition campaign against the supply of aviation fuel to Myanmar's military regime, which has been waging a campaign of indiscriminate aerial attacks against civilians.

Myanmar's military regime attacked the Karen National Union (KNU) Brigade 7 headquarters in Kayin (Karen) State's Hpa-an Township with a drone on Tuesday, according to sources on the ground. 

Internally displaced people (IDPs) are moving from one location to another without a stable place to take refuge due to daily airstrikes and artillery attacks by the Myanmar military in Maungdaw Township.
