Student killed after artillery shell explosion
The boy from Mee Yat Pyin village, identified as Maung Myo Naing, received severe injuries and died on the way to Kyauktaw hospital.

A 12-year-old boy from Kyauktaw Township died after an artillery shell he found exploded while he was playing with it at home.
The boy from Mee Yat Pyin village, identified as Maung Myo Naing, received severe injuries and died on the way to Kyauktaw hospital.
A clash occurred near the village two days before and unexploded artillery shells were left behind, villagers said.
According to a survey by the Rakhine Ethnic Congress (REC), the death toll of children from explosions of discarded artillery shell and landmine has reached eight now.
