A woman from Arakan State working in Yangon has been missing for seven days, but family members have not yet been able to contact her.
The 19-year-old has been identified as Ma Khin Thet Lwin, daughter of U Maung Than Lwin and Daw May Hsan from Sanaepyin Village, part of Arakan State’s Kyaukphyu Township.
Ma Khin Thet Lwin lives at her aunt’s house in Ward 58, Dagon Seikkan Township, Yangon Region, and went missing on the morning of January 10 while going to a tailoring shop in Ward 63 of Dagon Seikkan Township, where she was working, a relative told DMG.
“We have contacted everyone she was in contact with. She has not been seen or heard from since. Missing notices were also posted around the place where she worked. We are planning to file a complaint at the police station tomorrow,” said the relative, U Min Min Aung.
Ma Khin Thet Lwin has been working in Yangon since March 2022. Family members are worried that her mobile phone has been unreachable since she went missing.
“I can’t think about my daughter’s disappearance in the midst of hearing all kinds of news,” said Daw May Hsan, the mother of Ma Khin Thet Lwin. “I have already contacted her boyfriend. I would like to ask people to help me find my daughter and let me know if she is found.”
