Mrauk-U gold shop robbed
A gold shop in Arakan State’s Mrauk-U Township was robbed on Friday morning, with around 20 ticals of gold stolen from the shop.

A gold shop in Arakan State’s Mrauk-U Township was robbed on Friday morning, with around 20 ticals of gold stolen from the shop.
The thief came to ‘U Sein Shwe Htay and Daw Ma Thein Tin’ gold shop in Mrauk-U town at around 9 a.m. on Friday, pretending to buy gold.
“As the gold shop owner was showing him gold items, he said he was thirsty. Just as the gold shop owner turned around to tell one of his family members to bring a glass of water, the man grabbed jewelry and ran away,” a family member of the gold shop owner told DMG.
Around 20 ticals in gold items were stolen from the gold shop.
“He did not directly come to the gold shop. He parked a motorbike near the gold shop. He grabbed the gold items and ran to the motorbike, and he fled by bike,” added the family member of the gold shop owner.
The gold shop has filed a complaint with the local police station.
