The Mrata Zaung Foundation is providing computer basic course training to 120 youths from Mrauk-U and Kyaukphyu townships, Mrata Zaung Sayardaw said.
A total of 60 young people from Mrauk-U Township are taught computer skills at Mrata Zaung IDP camp and another 60 young people from Kyaukphyu Township are taught in Sane town.
“We do not have enough computers at the training. So, we cannot teach them all at the same time. We have three classes a day. And we cannot afford to buy a projector,” Mrata Zaung Sayardaw said.
Ma Nilar Than, a computer trainer in Sane town, said they are facing difficulties in teaching computer courses because some computers do not work.
“We do not have the government’s power supply. We are using the generator. The computers we are using are second-hand computers, so they sometimes do not work during the training. We also need more teachers,” she said.
Ko San Aung Shwe, a trainee at Sane town, said he expected to join the workforce after he completed the course.
