Four civilians killed, 11 injured in regime airstrikes on TNLA-held Hsipaw

Four civilians were killed and 11 others were injured over three consecutive days of junta airstrikes on Hsipaw in northern Shan State, the Ta'ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) said in a statement on Tuesday.

A junta airstrike on September 28 hit residential areas in Hsipaw, wounding six civilians.

Multiple bombs dropped by a Y-12 military aircraft fell near Hsipaw Hospital, restaurants, a school and the Hsipaw Bridge, killing one civilian and injuring five others on September 29.

Three civilians including a 7-year-old boy were killed in a junta air attack on Kharlein Village in Hsipaw Township on September 29, the statement added.

On September 30, no civilian casualties were reported but some homes were destroyed after junta planes again launched air attacks against Hsipaw.

Regime airstrikes on areas held by the TNLA killed at least 26 civilians, injured 41 others and destroyed 47 homes in September.

Myanmar's military regime continues to carry out airstrikes on areas controlled by the Brotherhood Alliance after declaring its members - the TNLA, Arakkha Army (AA) and Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) - terrorist organisations on September 2.

It has been more than three months since the Brotherhood Alliance launched a second round of "Operation 1027" in northern Shan State on June 25, and fighting between the military and anti-regime forces continues to intensify.
