Teen injured in junta airstrike on AA-held Thandwe
A teenage boy was slightly injured in a junta air attack on Arakan State's Thandwe, which is held by the Arakkha Army (AA), on Friday morning.

A teenage boy was slightly injured in a junta air attack on Arakan State's Thandwe, which is held by the Arakkha Army (AA), on Friday morning.
A junta aeroplane dropped bombs on an office belonging to the military proxy Union Solidarity and Development Party and an office that was once used by the regime to recruit conscripts in Ward 8 in Thandwe at around 4 a.m. on October 25, said a resident of Thandwe.
"A junta jet fighter carried out airstrikes two times on Thandwe this morning, wounding a teenage boy. The condition of the injured is considered not life-threatening," the Thandwe resident added.
The injured has been identified as Maung Phoe Chaw, 14, from Thandwe's Ward 8. He sustained minor injuries to his right leg. Some homes were also destroyed in the regime air attack on Thandwe.
Child casualties are increasing in Arakan State due to the aerial bombardment of the regime, and children are suffering psychologically and physically.
Civilian casualties continue to rise in Thandwe Township due to the regime's airstrikes and artillery attacks on residential areas.
"As the regime attacks civilian and military targets indiscriminately, civilian casualties are rising. People need to take care as much as possible to protect themselves from the junta attacks," said a resident of Thandwe.
An internally displaced person (IDP) was killed and another was injured in a junta airstrike on Nyaungchayhtauk Village, Thandwe Township, on October 1.
On September 26, at least 14 civilians including children were killed and 25 others were injured in a junta airstrike on Thandwe.
The regime has been carrying out a series of airstrikes targeting AA-controlled townships in Arakan State, with civilian casualties increasing daily.
