The Arakan Army (AA) attacked a military headquarters in Buthidaung Township on the evening of 20 September, destroying residential buildings and injuring two children, the Tatmadaw announced.

Flying the flag of Arakan State at homes is an offence against the State and it is an incitement to fracture the Union, said Colonel Min Than, minister for Arakan State Security and Border Affairs.

The Northern Alliance consisting of the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), and Arakan Army (AA) has announced a unilateral ceasefire with the Tatmadaw until 31 December this year.
