On the 61st anniversary of Ta’ang National Revolution Day, the Three Brotherhood Alliance said Friday that they will be united with the people for the eradication of military dictatorship, which is the common goal of the entire Myanmar people.
The joint statement was made in a congratulatory message sent by the Myanmar National Truth and Justice Party/Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNTJP/MNDAA) and the United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA) to commemorate Ta’ang National Revolution Day on January 12.
The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) is the third member of the Brotherhood alliance, along with the AA and MNDAA.
The statement says that the difficulties of one group are the difficulties of all and the success of one group is the success of all, and that they will achieve their common dreams in unity. The MNDAA and AA said they hope that all the dreams of the Ta’ang people can be realised as soon as possible.
The Three Brotherhood Alliance launched an offensive against the junta named ‘Operation 1027’ on October 27 to eradicate the military dictatorship, seizing hundreds of military camps, military outposts and towns in the weeks that have followed.
As a result of China’s mediation, a temporary ceasefire between the military and the Three Brotherhood Alliance was agreed to in the northern Shan State from January 11.
However, the Three Brotherhood Alliance said on Friday that the common goal of the entire Myanmar people would be to eradicate the military dictatorship as long as it exists.
