Villagers of Thar Si Gone in Rathedaung Township, Arakan State, claim Tatmadaw members snatched 12 residents from their village, but the Tatmadaw denied the claim.

The Arakan Front Party (AFP) released a statement on 20 November to free Pyithu Hluttaw MP Dr Aye Maung from Ann Township, who has been sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment.

An anonymous villager said that a fight erupted between the Tatmadaw and the Arakan Army (AA) at around 4 p.m. on November 18 near Yaw Chaung village in Myebon, and two helicopters from the Tatmadaw arrived and launched the air attack.

A Tatmadaw unit was attacked by explosive devices on November 13 beside Yangon – Sittwe highway road near Thayat Tabin village in Kyauktaw Township, and the attack injured and killed some Tatmadaw soldiers.
