Junta lobbyists are campaigning to arrest those who criticise the regime, including those who write about the regime’s human rights violations on social media, whether politicians, social activists, artists or average folk.

Sugarcane farmers in Arakan State are facing financial losses due to the junta’s road blockades following the latest hostilities between the Myanmar military and Arakan Army (AA).

At least 40 ferryboat helmsmen and residents detained by Myanmar’s military at BXT Port in the Arakan State capital Sittwe have reportedly been charged by the regime, family members said.
