AA on offensive in Arakan State
The AA has been launching offensive attacks on a junta tactical command base near Paletwa and Meewa tactical command base since January 1.

The Three Brotherhood Alliance issued a statement on January 3 that the Arakan Army (AA) will attack all military bases in Arakan State and Paletwa Township in Chin State.
The AA has been launching offensive attacks on a junta tactical command base near Paletwa and Meewa tactical command base since January 1.
The AA also launched assaults on military outposts belonging to Light Infantry Battalion Nos. 233, 374, 376, 308, 211, 217, 289 and 220 near Paletwa town on January 1, the Three Brotherhood Alliance said.
The Arakan Army seized Khamaungwa camp, a strategic hilltop base, and Chinletwa camp in Paletwa Township on January 2 and 3. The AA has seized a total of 21 military camps in Paletwa Township, including two tactical command outposts, during the latest hostilities.
The AA seized the Myaungbwe police station and the district police station in Mrauk-U, Arakan State, on December 26.
The AA has been attacking the junta’s tactical command base on Mount Taung Shae, near the village of Tinma, part of Arakan State’s Kyauktaw Township and two Border Guard Force outposts in Kyaungnabay and Kainggyi villages in Maungdaw Township.
The AA seized nearly 150 BGF outposts and police stations abandoned by junta troops, as well as two tactical command bases, within the first 45 days of the latest hostilities in Arakan State, which began on November 13, the ethnic armed group has said.
