Kanbawza Bank has opened a case against two senior clerks of the Manaung bank branch for alleged misappropriation of deposits.

Kanbawza Bank has opened a case against two senior clerks of the Manaung bank branch for alleged misappropriation of deposits.
A Kanbawza bank officer opened a case against the two with the Manaung Township police station for allegedly misappropriating K183.5 million from nine depositors. The two have been charged with embezzlement and forging the signature of their bank manager.
“They are currently being held in prison in Manaung. Both were denied bail, and the bank is still undertaking further scrutiny,” said a police officer from the Manaung Township police station.
The two defendants were identified as females from Anauksu ward in Manaung. DMG was unable to contact KBZ Bank officials for comment.
