Myanmar’s military regime is updating a list of internally displaced people (IDPs) who wish to return home in Mrauk-U Township, Arakan State.

Residents of Jaithar village in Arakan State’s Thandwe Township, whose homes were forcibly relocated by the Myanmar military, are reportedly facing job scarcity and other livelihood hardships.

A special court inside Mon State’s Kyaikmaraw Prison has sentenced the ousted Mon State chief minister, Dr. Aye Zan, to two years in prison for abuse of power and embezzlement during Myanmar’s 2020 general election.
