Junta troop deployments in villages and tightened security checks are severely affecting the livelihoods of local residents in Arakan State. 

A local was killed and two others were injured on Tuesday in junta airstrikes on Dawparpah village near Loilemlay, a town on the border of Shan and Kayah states, according to ground sources. 

Scattered rain is expected in Arakan State due to a low pressure system over the Bay of Bengal, with a chance of occasional squalls accompanied by high tide along the Arakan coast, the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology said at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
