A coral reef off the coast of Pyin Kauk village in Manaung Township, Arakan State, is in need of systematic conservation, local residents say.

A recently married couple were arrested and charged under the Counter-Terrorism Law earlier this month in connection with a deadly explosion near the village of U Daung in southern Maungdaw Township.

Three people were wounded by gunfire near Kispanadi Bridge at the entrance to Kyauktaw town, Arakan State, on the evening of May 11.

About 70 IDPs who left a displacement camp in Ann town five days ago intending to return to their home village of Gate Chaung have not yet reached the village.

The management teams of IDP camps in Kyauktaw Township are struggling to transport rice supplies to their camps despite the government having provided 500 sacks of the staple grain for the Wah Taung and Taungmin Kalar IDP camps, according to their managers.
