More than 80 junta soldiers fled into India’s Mizoram state during an Arakan Army (AA) attack on the regime’s Point 377 outpost in Chin State’s Paletwa Township on Friday.
The AA seized the Point 377 base, located along the Myanmar-India border, and during the AA assault some 80 junta soldiers fled into India, seeking shelter from Indian police at Tuisen village in Mizoram’s Lawngtlai district.
“We heard from sources on the ground that Myanmar military soldiers from Point 377 fled into Mizoram. I heard over 80 soldiers crossed the border into India,” said a resident of Paletwa Town.
