Six Buthidaung Twsp villagers remain under military detention

Six residents of Thabeik Taung Village in Arakan State’s Buthidaung Township were detained by Myanmar military personnel on September 24, and family members are concerned about the fate of the detainees, who have since been held incommunicado.

Twenty-five villagers, including residents of Moung Swel Village in Mrauk-U Township, Arakan State, were recently arrested by the Myanmar military on suspicion and nearly all have been released, but one villager is reportedly still being held.
