A doctor from Myebon Township, Arakan State, who was detained by the military regime on Tuesday remains in military custody and his whereabouts are still unknown, according to family members and sources close to Dr. Win Naing Soe.

Two girls were injured after an artillery shell fell and exploded in Moung Swel Village, part of Arakan State’s Mrauk-U Township, at about 2 p.m. on Thursday, according to locals.

Several youths in rural parts of Tanintharyi Region’s Yebyu Township have been arrested by the Myanmar military since September 27, locals said.

Myanmar’s military regime has opened an incitement case against well-known social activist Ko Ann Thar Gyi aka U Than Shwe under Section 505(a) of the Penal Code, according to a Facebook report from Rakhine Daily, a junta-controlled media operation in Arakan State.

Four civilians in a rural village of Arakan State’s Minbya Township were injured and a home in another village was damaged by an artillery shell reportedly fired by the Myanmar military on the morning of September 27. 

Three people including two children were injured when a monastery was hit by a junta rocket in Arakan State’s Minbya Township on Monday.

Dr. Kyaw Thura, a resident of Taungup who was detained by the Myanmar military, was charged under Section 17(1) of the Unlawful Associations Act on September 23, according to family members.

Six residents of Thabeik Taung Village in Arakan State’s Buthidaung Township were detained by Myanmar military personnel on September 24, and family members are concerned about the fate of the detainees, who have since been held incommunicado.

The Myanmar military reportedly arrested two residents of Asoeya Ward in Arakan State’s Kyaukphyu town on September 25.

A 7-year-old boy from Nagara Village in Arakan State’s Kyauktaw Township was killed in a shelling at around 11 p.m. on Saturday.
