Civilian killed in regime airstrike on TNLA-held Namhsan
A junta jet fighter dropped six bombs on Namhsan Town during three sorties at around midnight on August 12, the TNLA’s statement said.

A civilian was killed and another was injured in a junta air assault on Namhsan in northern Shan State late Monday night, the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) said in a statement on August 13.
A junta jet fighter dropped six bombs on Namhsan Town during three sorties at around midnight on August 12, the TNLA’s statement said.
One of the bombs fell and exploded in the compound of an office for the Electricity Supply Enterprise (ESE) in Namhsan’s Myolae Ward, killing a 30-year-old local and wounding one other.
Transformers in the ESE compound as well as a church and five homes were destroyed in the regime airstrikes.
The TNLA seized control of Namhsan on December 15, 2023.
A junta airstrike on TNLA-held Kutkai on August 5 killed six locals and injured 10 others, reducing hundreds of market stalls and some homes to ashes.
The Brotherhood Alliance, which consists of the TNLA, Arakkha Army (AA) and Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA), on August 6 strongly condemned junta’s air attacks on non-conflict zones, and has asked China to intervene to help stop the attacks.
