The soft-shell crab business is thriving in Arakan State’s Gwa Township, with soft-shell crabs being exported to foreign markets.

A group of junta officials consisting of the township administrator and departmental employees visited the Kaviyadana IDP camp and Naypukhan displacement camp in downtown Kyauktaw at around 8 a.m. and told IDPs to return home.

The raft-fishing business has resurged in Ayeyarwady Region’s Pyapon Township, along with human trafficking to work on fishing rafts, according to local fishery business owners.
